“Curb” and HBO have created a new model for “made” show producers. Larry David made buckets of dough with Seinfeld. It seems that HBO has given him carte blanche to create without interference and at his own leisure. He has taken full advantage of that with his show.

If you check out the way back machine, you will see that “Curb” debuted Oct 15, 2000, and ended season 8 on Sept 11, 2011.

Here we are 5 years later and LD has decided to return to a role he knows better than anyone. LD playing LD.

It will be interested to see what he has been up to for the last 5 years. Thanks HBO for staying out of the way.
