A few questions. Considering that your film won an award from a prestigious film festival, is it possible to get a backer to finance your distribution? I see that your category is for short films, so perhaps funding for those projects are difficult to secure.

Are the distribution rights for the song a one time fee, or based on how wide the distribution and views your film gets? It would be interesting to understand the cost of the music licensing for such a project for other aspiring directors (not me, I’m just a curious outside observer).

Another thought, though perhaps not perfect, is to see if you could crowdfund the project. Again, I am not versed in crowdfunding of firm projects, but just thinking out loud. Perhaps you could send crowdfunders a movie kit with Blueray disc, t-shirt, etc. for their sponsorship fee.
